Bex Take on…Koh Samui

What an amazing island! White sand, turquoise sea, music blasting and cocktails on the beach.

A bit cloudy but still hot enough for a swim!

We had a lovely afternoon swimming in the sea, fighting against the waves (who were determined to steal our bikinis!) and then cooled down with a fresh mango smoothie. It was lovely to be out of the mini bus and able to properly relax and stretch our legs.

The next day, with the sun shining brightly, we left the hotel early for a day of island hopping in Angthong National Marine Park. We visited two islands, Mae Ko Island and Wua Ta Lab Island. Mae Ko has a stunning salt lake at its centre but the best view was from atop the cliff. So climbing it was!

A tough climb in the heat, but totally worth it for the amazing view!

On Wua Ta Lab, I made the most of the opportunity for a swim and sunbathing on the beach. It honestly felt like I was in heaven. So peaceful!

In the evening we went to ARK bar to watch the fire dancing and drink a cocktail on the beach. There was a great atmosphere there and the fire show was unbelievable! It was a great way to the end the day.
